What do I do when I turn up to perform?

For each Cafe Montag there is an event organiser, who is in charge of the bookings and who schedules the performance times. So if you are performing then the best thing to do is to find the event organiser as soon as you arrive. They can then tell you roughly what time you might be performing, and answer any questions you have. They will also introduce you to the sound / technical person, so that you can discuss what equipment you might need to use. This lets them know in advance how to set up for your performance, so that everything runs smoothly.
